A show about the war we’re in, presented by journalist Ayad Rahim, a native of Iraq, who’s written, thought and worked extensively on Middle Eastern affairs. He spent six months recently in Baghdad. The show will present clear and forthright talk about the Arab world, Islam, terrorism and Iraq. It’ll tackle the main issues directly, without pulling any punches. The show will feature top-notch guests -- including many from the Middle East. We start, with Dr. Fouad Ajami, one of the most insightful, honest and articulate observers of the Arab world. He provides the historical, cultural and psychological background of our current situation. Also featured will be: * Christopher Hitchens, the George Orwell of our age, speaking on the media and the Left; * Cleveland law professor Michael Scharf, one of a handful of jurists who’ve trained members of the Iraqi Special Tribunal that will try Saddam Hussein; * Iraqis living and working Iraq -- politicians, journalists, clerics and women’s activists; * Cleveland law professor David Forte, whose writings on Islam and religion were picked up and utilized by the White House; * Dr. Laurie Mylroie, an expert on Iraq, terrorism and our Beltway wars; * Ohio political science professor and Iraq native Adeed Dawisha. Ayad Rahim plans to head back to Baghdad, to cover the trial of Saddam, and will try to send back reports, from Iraq. So, listen in -- it'll be worth your time.
