Diane is off at the San Diego Custom Bicycle Show this weekend, but before she left, she recorded interviews with several bike shop owners who attended the recent Bicycle Summit in Washington, DC.
These folks are not only making their living in the bicycle business, they care deeply enough about cycling to support the Summit in its advocacy work in our nation’s capitol each year. This week’s guests are:
- Charlie McCorkle of Bicycle Habitat in New York City
- Mikki Griffin of Perpetual Motion Bicycles, Inc. in Carrollton, Georgia
- James Moore of Moore’s Bicycle Shop in Hattiesburg, Mississippi
We round out this edition of The Outspoken Cyclist with a conversation with Josh Lipton, the entrepreneur behind Bike Shop Hub, one of the most unique physical and virtual bike shops in the world. Josh’s focus on utility cycling and the equipment required to “bike with a purpose” is truly amazing.
All this, and some news and commentary from the usual suspects (Diane and me).
