This week’s Outspoken Cyclist could best be described as “something for everyone who likes bikes.”
First up is Rob Vandermark, of Seven Cycles. Diane talks with Rob about his development in the bicycling business, and about how his career has been intertwined with that beautiful silver metal known as titanium.
After a spirited round of news and commentary, including an article from Car and Driver about the state of America’s roads, and what may or may not be done about them, we welcome four young cyclists to the studio.
Michael Henry, Vadim Kogan, Katie Lund, Laura Lynch, and Tim Spittle are riding cross-country this summer to raise awareness and funds for Face Aids, a global youth movement to fight HIV/AIDS. They happened to be on a rest day in Cleveland this week, and Michael, Vadim, Laura and Tim stopped by the studio to share stories of their trip thus far, and tell us more about Face Aids. We were so happy to have them on The Outspoken Cyclist this week.
