This weekend marks American Independence Day, and in our own display of audio fireworks, we welcome Bill McKibben, Keith Bontrager and Andre Husain to The Outspoken Cyclist.
Bill McKibben is the founder of 350.org, which is a worldwide organization mobilizing people to solve the climate crisis. Bill talks about the climate change that has, and continues to occur, and what role the bicycle plays in stopping it.
If you’ve ridden a bike or even visited a bike shop in the last decade, you’ve no doubt seen the name Bontrager on components from wheels, to stems to handlebars and saddles. The man himself, Keith Bontrager talks about his roots as a physicist and motorcycle racer, and how he views the state of bicycle technology today and in the future.
And finally, we officially welcome back Andre Husain, of Team Hope, which recently completed Race Across America. Listen as Andre updates us on Team Hope’s challenges and successes, as well as the latest on their project for the Blue Planet Network.
