WJCU Proudly Supports Footprints for Fatima and Ride For Miles

Two extraordinary events are taking place on the John Carroll University campus this weekend and we need you to help them become a success.

On Saturday September 20th, the first annual Ride For Miles bike tour will begin at 10:00 am from the Dolan Science Center. Ride For Miles is in memory of Dr. Miles Coburn who was tragically killed this summer while riding his bike in rural Geauga County. The ride is to encourage a clean and green environment, a goal Dr. Coburn worked tirelessly for his entire life.

This bike ride is free and open to all but pre-registration is required. You can find out more information about this loving tribute to a wonderful professor at the Ride For Miles website, including how to register.

Then on Sunday September 21 make your way back to John Carroll’s beautiful campus for the 6th annual Footprints For Fatima 5K race and 1 mile walk. All proceeds benefit John Carroll University’s Fatima Food drive that supplies more than 100 local families with food during the holidays.

The Fatima Family Center, located in Cleveland’s Hough-Central neighborhood is connected with Cleveland Catholic Charities. The Center helps countless families in our area and we need your help to continue those efforts!

The day’s events begin at 9:00 am with the 1 mile walk and the gun goes off at 9:15 am for the 5K race. The race will get started in the Belvoir-Don Shula Stadium area of John Carroll’s campus (for a more detailed map click here).
